Dragon Age: Veilguard ditches the more tactical gameplay of Origins and the MMO elements of Inquisition for a more God of War-esque action combat and similarly designed semi open world structure.
As such, there’s plenty to see and do off the beaten path, like finding a treasure chest or one of the Evanuris Altars to increase Rook’s base health. Most importantly, there are companion quests, which are a one-way ticket to romancing the game’s incredibly charming party members.
Dragon Age The Veilguard new game plus details
However, polygamy is not an option in Dragon Age Veilguard, and it’s not easy to find every collectible and complete every side quest in a single playthrough. As such, in this ONE Esports guide, we reveal whether Dragon Age: The Veilguard features a new game plus mode or not.
Is there a new game plus in Dragon Age The Veilguard?
Unfortunately, Dragon Age: The Veilguard does not feature a new game plus mode, at least at launch. It’s worth pointing out that none of the past Dragon Age games featured an NG+ mode, so it’s not quite surprising why there’s none in this latest installment.
That said, Veilguard borrows a ton from modern action-adventure titles, and given its structure, a new game plus mode makes a lot of sense.
Unfortunately, the lack of NG+ means that if you’re aiming to get the Platinum trophy or unlock all Achievements in the game, you have to find every collectible, like the Caretaker’s Mementos, in a single playthrough or start it all over again.
Thankfully, there’s plenty of reason to start a new playthrough in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, so if you’re someone who’s curious to check out other endings, try a different class, or wants to romance someone other than Lace Harding or Neve Gallus, you’re in luck.
