Touhou Genso Wanderer Foresight: Release date, platforms, gameplay

Touhou Genso Wanderer Foresight is a dungeon-crawler RPG created by Aqua Style, part of the Fushigi no Gensokyo series.

Specifically, it’s a mystery dungeon adventure roguelike game, more popularly known in Japan as “Fushigi no Danjyon”.

Foresight is the latest installment after the widely successful Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded released in 2018, and Touhou Genso Wanderer Lotus Labyrinth R released in 2019.

Touhou Genso games are entirely fan-made, based on Touhou Project by Team Shanghai Alice, who have independently published a series of popular bullet hell shoot ’em up video games since 1997.

Leveling and travel mechanics

Even if you lose a battle and restart at Hakurei Shrine, you’ll still get to keep your items and your current level during the story’s dungeons.

You can also quickly travel to locations you’ve visited before.

Part of the Touhou Genso Wanderer Foresight gameplay see you resolving incidents and assisting the residents of the Human Village with their issues.

Interacting with the inhabitants of Gensokyo will allow you to obtain “boards” that enhance your basic stats. Characters become more powerful as you advance in the game.

Restore the dilapidated shrine to its former splendor with the assistance of Suika Ibuki, who resides there. Upgrade its infrastructure for improved accessibility.

It is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Language options include English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.
