Jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun has officially extended his contract with the Korean esports organization T1.
The renewal follows T1 Oner’s triumphant performance at the League of Legends World Championship 2024 (Worlds 2024), where the team clinched the title with a decisive victory over Bilibili Gaming.
T1 Oner continues his journey with the organization with this new contract for several more years.
T1 Oner stays put after Worlds 2024 triumph
T1 Oner has committed to the team for the next two seasons, signing a multi-year contract that keeps him at T1 until 2026. This means the talented jungler remains a crucial part of the T1 LoL roster for seasons 15 and 16.
“I’m so honored to secure the jungle position for T1 once again,” he said in a statement. “I will do my best to achieve greater things with T1 for the next two years.”
Oner’s meteoric rise within the T1 LoL roster has been nothing short of spectacular.
Starting his career in 2020 with T1 Academy, he quickly ascended to the main T1 LoL roster in 2021. T1 Oner has since solidified his position as a top-tier jungler, reaching multiple LCK Finals, including a championship victory in the LCK Spring Split 2022.
His international success is equally impressive, with a World Championship semifinal appearance in his debut year as a starter and back-to-back World Championship titles in 2023 and 2024.
In the LCK, Oner’s individual accolades include Jungle of the Year in 2023 and Finals MVP in Spring Split 2022.
Before Oner’s contract renewal, support player Ryu “Keria” Min-seok had already re-signed with T1.
Together with top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, and bot laner Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, these five players form the legendary “ZOFGK” roster. This T1 LoL roster has achieved unprecedented success, winning consecutive World Championships in 2023 and 2024.
