Dandadan Episode 7 recap
The episode opened with a mysterious character sprinting frantically down the street from a first-person view, setting a tense atmosphere. The perspective shifted, revealing the ghost, Acrobatic Silky, reaching out toward Aira Shiratori.
The enraged Yokai went on a rampage, attacking Momo, Okarun, and Aira, which led to a chaotic chase through an abandoned factory. The ghost knocked down Momo and Okarun during the struggle, leaving Aira vulnerable and alone.
However, Acro Silky’s long hair became entangled in the factory’s railings, momentarily immobilizing her.
Seizing the opportunity, Momo ordered Okarun to transform and use Turbo Granny’s power to blast the Yokai away. After defeating the ghost, Turbo Granny retrieved the golden ball from Aira. But at that moment, they realized that Aira had already died.
Determined to save her, Momo attempted to revive Aira by using her spiritual powers to compress her heart while Okarun performed CPR. Yet Turbo Granny informed them that their efforts were in vain—Aira’s heart was no longer alive but merely a “chunk of flesh.”
As they struggled to save her, Acro Silky pleaded with them to let her revive Aira. The Yokai explained that Aira’s body lacked an aura, which was akin to a battery for a motor.
If Acro Silky could transfer her aura to Aira, it would bring her back to life. However, Momo remained skeptical of the Yokai’s intentions. The ghost continued pleading, urging Momo to connect their auras through her spiritual abilities.
The episode then shifted to a poignant flashback of Acro Silky’s past. Once a struggling mother, she had done odd jobs to support her young daughter, who eagerly awaited her return each day.
Despite her hardships, the mother provided for her daughter, even teaching her ballet as they bonded over their shared activities.
Though often exhausted, her love for her child had kept her going, and she had even saved up to buy her daughter a beautiful red dress that became a cherished possession.
One night, tragedy struck when debt collectors broke into their home, attacking the mother and abducting her daughter. Gravely injured, the mother had desperately chased after the kidnappers, but her wounds proved fatal.
She passed away before she could rescue her daughter and subsequently transformed into a ghost, her spirit lingering in the world, slowly fading and forgetting why she remained.
Years later, a young Aira encountered the lost ghost, mistaking her for her mother. Aira’s companion reminded her that her mother had passed away, urging Aira to become a strong, independent person who could make her mother proud. This encounter transformed the spirit into Acro Silky, who promised to look after Aira.
The Yokai successfully transferred her aura to Aira, reviving her. The Acro Silky tearfully apologized to Aira, admitting that she had lost control of her emotions and, despite her intention to protect Aira, had only caused her pain.
Having witnessed the Yokai’s tragic past, Momo asked Turbo Granny if there was anything they could do to help the spirit find peace. However, Turbo Granny explained that the ghost might never rest, burdened by unresolved regrets.
Overwhelmed by the ghost’s sorrow, Aira embraced Acro Silky as if she were her mother, providing the ghost with peace. Aira prayed for a kinder place where the mother and her daughter could reunite without fear, hoping for a world where they would never suffer again.
