Marvel Rivals provides plenty of ways to celebrate one’s accomplishments, whether by rewatching highlights of favorite kills or soaking in the glory of that shiny MVP screen after a hairy win.
That said, the game doesn’t necessarily explain all the achievements, with one being the SVP title, which is awarded to a player on the losing team.
Players curious to know what this title means have come to the right place. Continue reading to learn what SVP means in Marvel Rivals.
What is SVP in Marvel Rivals?
SVP stands for “Second Valuable Player.” It’s a title awarded to the best player on the losing team.
In a way, it’s like a silver lining for the player who performed their best despite being on the losing side. There are no tangible benefits to earning this title in Quick Match or the Competitive mode.
Earlier, some players had suggested that the SVP in Competitive doesn’t lose rank points and thus won’t get demoted. However, that isn’t true, and the only way not to lose rank points is by using a loss prevention shield.
How to get SVP in Marvel Rivals
While there is no concrete set of rules that make one eligible for the SVP title, focusing on certain things can increase the chances of earning it.
For instance, the Duelist on the losing team with the most kills or damage dealt could get the title.
Likewise, the Strategist on the losing team with the most heals has a shot at the title.
Lastly, the Vanguard on the losing team that blocks the most damage has a high chance of earning the title.
