The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition is first and foremost made for Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok fans. Its specs follows the Viper V3 Pro, so the only differences are color, design, and packaging.

It’s the second Razer mouse branded “Faker Edition.” The first-ever was the Deathadder V3 Pro released in February 2023, a model that Faker himself has been using since the start of his League of Legends esports career.

Exclusive: What Faker really thinks about his signature Razer DeathAdder mouse

After four World Championship wins with his signature Deathadder mouse, Faker transitioned to the Razer Viper V3 Pro in 2024, subsequently securing another World Championship title.

The Viper gives fans a second option, one that I personally am thrilled about because I’ve been a Viper Mini user since it was released in 2020. The size and shape of the mouse is perfect for my palm grip and small hand size. Unfortunately, it has since been phased out, which left me sad.

This dying habit is Faker’s secret weapon to a long and successful career

I thought that the original Viper would be too big for my palm size. However, because I’ve been League of Legends player since post-beta and a fan of Faker since 2013, I decided to give the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition a try.

Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition makes you proud to be a fan of Faker

The base Viper V3 Pro in black or white retails at US$159.99 (SGD$239) while the Faker Edition costs US$20 more at US$179.99 (SGD$289). If you’re a League of Legends player and a Faker fan, the small top-up is a no-brainer.

The color and design follows the original DeathAdder Faker Edition, with the Demon King at its base and Faker’s signature on the right button, printed on a vibrant, crimson red. Its energetic color would make anyone feel more confident going into a match.

I own and use the Razer Goliathus Speed SKT T1 Edition that’s no longer in production and I have to say, they are the perfect pairing! They complement each other so well — I’m proud to be a T1 fan who has watched him raise the Summoner’s Cup five times in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, and 2024. (That’s also my Razer Huntsman V2 ten keyless TKL on the side.)

Faker’s full list of podium finishes throughout his long League of Legends career

With T1, Faker has also won ten LCK championships and two Mid-Season Invitational trophies, solidifying his status as the undisputed GOAT in the LoL esports scene.

When you first open the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition box, you’ll find Faker staring right at you. Opposite lies the gorgeous right-handed symmetrical mouse that can be used wired or wireless. Because I’ve been using the wired Viper Mini, I decided to try wireless with the Razer HyperPolling Wireless Dongle — and I haven’t looked back since.

I tested it for a month playing League of Legends frequently on top of other casual HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero. The wireless performance stays smooth, reliable, and top-tier with a long battery life up to 95 hours at 1000 Hz.

The mouse boasts an impressive 90-million click lifecycle, engineered to eliminate double-clicking problems. Its 0.2ms actuation, free from debounce delay, delivers exceptional reliability and speed. I did not feel any lag whatsoever, even while furiously right-clicking on Howling Abyss and chaining animations on complex champions like Qiyana.

Neither did I feel concern about battery dying out because the indicator at the top of the scroll wheel will flash red, letting you know when its low. After a short charge using your USB-C cable, you’re all set to go again: short press the button on the underside to turn it on, long press to turn it off.

Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition specs: upgrading from the Viper Mini

Even though the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition is a full-size mouse, it actually weighs even lighter than the Viper Mini at 54g compared to 61g, which surprised me.

The newer V3 Pro naturally packs better tech, using a Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 with maximum 35,000 DPI delivering best-in-class precision at 99.8% resolution accuracy, compared to the 8,500 DPI optical sensor in the Viper Mini.

I felt the difference right away and had to lower my mouse sensitivity settings because it felt almost too smooth. Razer was serious when they said that they developed the Viper V3 Pro with input from top esports professionals, enabling users to execute rapid, accurate movements precisely as intended.

The only challenge I faced for my small hands is its size. The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition has a length of 5 inches, width of 2.51 inches, and height of 1.57 inches. Compared to the Viper Mini’s length of 4.66 inches and 2.11 width, it did take a while to get used to. It’s like wearing a shoe that’s a half size too big for your foot.

The difference in size is small enough that it doesn’t affect how I execute mechanics in League of Legends, but I would still prefer a Mini Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition, if ever, for the snug feel.

I didn’t jump on the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Faker Edition when it came out even though I wanted to because of the mouse shape, so I’m very grateful that we now have the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition for users who prefer the raised hump, which is the best design for claw grip. I feel totally in control and perhaps more importantly, happy, to use Faker’s mouse daily.

Since joining Team Razer in 2015, Faker’s decade-long partnership has reached a new milestone with the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition. This special edition was recognized as the top mouse choice among esports professionals as reported on Prosettings.net in December 2024. It commemorates Razer’s commitment to esports innovation and a significant chapter in Faker’s legendary career.
