All Palworld sulfur locations
Sulfur is an essential resource in Palworld, found in underground dungeons, desert areas, and volcano biomes. The best place to start is the underground dungeon, marked by cave openings scattered across multiple locations in the game’s world.

Once you enter the cave, you’ll encounter sulfur nodes in the form of green rocks. However, it’s important to note that you can’t extract sulfur with a regular pickaxe; instead, you’ll need a heavy metal pickaxe. Moreover, you may encounter different types of pals in the dungeons, so make sure to bring your strongest pals before heading there.

Transporting sulfur to your base is another challenge, as it takes up a lot of space in your inventory. The best way to tackle this situation is by setting up your second pal box near the sulfur deposits, allowing you to easily fast travel to your main base.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to set up a sulfur plantation at your base, so you’ll always need to head back to the aforementioned locations whenever you’re out of this material.
How to craft Palworld gunpowder from sulfur
The Palworld gunpowder recipe unlocks at Technology Level 21, and you can craft it using the following materials at a workbench:
- Sulfur x1
- Charcoal x2
You can eventually use the gunpowder to craft other valuable resources such as Assault Rifle Ammo, Coarse Ammo, Frag Grenade, Handgun Ammo, Rifle Ammo, and Shotgun Shells. If you prefer not to craft this resource, we suggest hunting down Tocotoco, a neutral-type pal that drops gunpowder.
