Every game in the Star Wars series has allowed players to wield them, but many fans are currently wondering if the next installment will offer the same experience.

Will Star Wars Outlaws have lightsabers?
If you’re a fan of the glowing laser swords, you’ll be disappointed to know that Star Wars Outlaws will not feature lightsabers. Instead, players will need to rely on other weapons, such as the blaster, which we’ve seen Kay carrying around in the trailers.
So far, Ubisoft has not confirmed the presence of lightsabers in Star Wars Outlaws. However, based on what we’ve seen in the official trailers and artwork, there are no lightsabers in sight.
This is mainly because the game does not focus on the Rebel Alliance but instead revolves around the story of Kay Vess.
For those who don’t know, she is an outlaw living in the underworld of Star Wars, and the focus has never been on this side.
Since Kay Vess is not a Jedi, she won’t be using any lightsabers. Instead, she’ll rely on a variety of other weapons in combat, such as the VM19 Heavy Blaster, Z6 Rotary Blaster Cannon, A300 Blaster Rifle, and many more.
Will we see lightsabers in the future in Star Wars Outlaws?
While the game may not feature lightsabers at launch, Ubisoft could potentially introduce them later through a limited-time event.
It would be pretty fun to enjoy an in-game event where you could use the lightsaber to defeat a wave of enemies. Or, the lightsaber could be introduced as a special weapon that players can unlock after completing a specific set of challenges.
However, for now, you’ll have to rely on the other weapons available in the game and hope that Ubisoft eventually adds lightsabers in some form.
