The competition was fierce in the eXTREMESLAND Asia Cup Finals in Shanghai — and luckily these pros each had a Zowie monitor to keep up with their APM.
The best Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams in the region such as The Mongulz, NKT, and LVG came together to battle it out over the weekend.
The official Zowie monitor for the tournament, the XL2546X, provides players with esports-centric technology that improves motion clarity and enemy identification alongside a design language built for esports professionals.
How did Zowie monitor XL2546X fare during this esports tournament? Should FPS players buy it?
Starting with motion clarity, not only does the XL2546X boast an impressive 240hz refresh rate on its Fast TN panel, it also has Zowie’s DyAc™ 2 technology, which eliminates perceptible afterimages. These form due to residual light that often remains in the pixels in most monitors.
For FPS titles like Counter-Strike 2, where precision and timing is key in deciding gunfight outcomes, the benefit of having DyAc™ 2 can be the deciding factor between victory and loss.
As for enemy identification, the XL2546X offers Black eQualizer settings which helps players see enemies in darker portions of a map. This reduces the chances of being caught off guard when turning dark corners.
Combining this with the Fast TN panels used in the monitors, players can recover from Flashbangs a little faster compared to other monitors, giving them the opportunity to get back into the fight in those crucial seconds.
Finally, the Zowie monitor XL2546X is designed and built to be adjustable and adaptable. Constructed of high-grade industrial components, it ensures that your personal adjustments remain the same even during high high intensity gameplay where you might bump and knock into your table.
On the software side of things, Zowie’s XL Setting to Share™ lets you actively switch the monitors settings depending on the title being played. It also allows users to download pro esports player monitor settings.

ONE Esports got the chance to test out the monitors at the tournament venue. Having DyAc™ 2 turned on with the Black eQualizer set to 10 (20 being the maximum option) we did see slight increases in clarity and could make out silhouettes better. At a level of competition such as this, any advantage would come in handy.
Monitors aside, Zowie is also showing off their latest esports mouse called the ZOWIE U2 Wireless Mouse For Esports.
They stated that the mouse was engineered based on research about FPS players, specifically their grip. We also tested it out and it’s markedly lighter than their previous models.
At only 60g, the ZOWIE U2 Wireless Mouse For Esports has a notable curve on both sides which helps claw-grip users reduce hand fatigue over long and sustained periods of gameplay.
