Best Xiangling build guide
In this article, we will cover everything you need to know on how to make the best Xiangling build and make her worthy of becoming one of the best sub-DPS in your national team comp.
Xiangling ascension and talent materials
Xiangling’s one of the simplest characters to build as her kit makes her a good Pyro applicator in your team. She scales up on attack, but she could also be built around on energy recharge stat.
To ascend Xiangling, you must collect “Jueyun Chili,” one of Liyue’s specialties, and farm several slimes across Teyvat. Her boss drop “Everflame Seed ” could be obtained by defeating the Pyro Regisvine found in Liyue.
Here is the complete list of Xiangling’s ascension materials.
LEVEL | ASCENSION MATERIALS | MORA |

Most of Xiangling’s damage comes from her burst Pyronado and her pet bear Gouba. These skills infuse Pyro into enemies even while Xiangling isn’t in the field.
Players should prioritize upgrading her Elemental Burst first and her Elemental Skill next. You could skip her normal attack to save resources since you won’t be needing it most of the time.
Her talent materials are the same as her ascension materials, so farm as many slimes as possible. Her talent books can be farmed on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday in the domain called Heart of the Flames, Located in Liyue.
Lastly, her boss materials could be obtained by defeating Dvalin in his trounce domain located in Stormterror’s Lair situated in Mondstadt.

Best Polearm for Xiangling
Xiangling’s Elemental Burst Pyronado requires a whopping 80 energy cost to charge, Therefore, using a polearm with an energy recharge stat can serve as a battery while still dealing damage.
Alternatively, if a character with high energy recharge, such as Bennett or Raiden, is in your team, opting for a polearm with a Crit Rate stat and Elemental Mastery passive can be beneficial.

The passive ability boosts her ATK based on her Energy Recharge, making it easier to maintain high DPS while ensuring her burst is ready as often as possible.
Alternatively, “The Catch” is an excellent free-to-play option that boosts Elemental Burst damage and CRIT rate, directly enhancing Xiangling’s main source of damage. The energy recharge substat also helps maintain her burst uptime.
If you’re opting for an elemental reaction build on Xiangling, Staff of the Scarlet Sands and Ballad of the Fjords offer a high base ATK and CRIT rate, These polearms also give elemental mastery passives which could be beneficial for reaction-based teams.
Lastly, If your team lacks a battery for her Elemental Burst, Favonius Lance and Skyward Spine are excellent for energy generation, ensuring Xiangling’s Elemental Burst is always ready. This could be useful in teams that rely on frequent bursts.
