Genshin Impact 5.5 banners were announced during the Day of the Flame’s Return special program livestream on March 14, 2025.
In version 5.5, a new map, the Great Volcano of Tollan, is added to the game, featuring a sacred city and a multi-tiered exploration area within the volcano.
The Collective of Plenty tribe is also available, accompanied by the Tatankasaurus. This Saurian possesses the ability to charge and break designated large rocks.
A seasonal event, Tournament of Glory in Bloom, will be held, featuring Ifa and other playable Natlan characters. This event will include a reintroduction of a traditional Natlan competition. Event participation offers various bonuses, including the opportunity to acquire Ororon.

Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst character, utilizes Plunging Attacks to activate her Fiery Passion state. This state significantly boosts her Electro damage and enables a lower-cost Elemental Burst.
Players can swiftly enter Fiery Passion by using her Elemental Skill followed by Normal Attacks for rapid Plunging Attacks.
Furthermore, her passive talent aids in Phlogiston restoration after food consumption. Beyond her combat prowess, Varesa’s Tribal Chronicle reveals a surprisingly relaxed daily life.

Phase 1 runs from March 26, 2025, to April 15, 2025.
New 4-star Iansan has a boosted drop rate during this period. Acting as Varesa’s coach, she is a support unit who provides attack buffs and healing to the party.
Her Elemental Burst offers off-field attack enhancements for on-field characters even when she
is off-field. Her attack buff itself scales with the distance that her teammates move.
Additionally, she can provide continuous HP restoration through her Warming Up effect, triggered by teammates’ Nightsoul Bursts.
Vivid Notions, a new 5-star Catalyst is featured on the weapon banner during Genshin Impact 5.5 phase one.
