What is Natlan in Genshin Impact?
Natlan is a region located west of the Sumeru desert. This land is renowned for its volcanic terrain, natural hot springs, and the unique coexistence of humans and dragon-like creatures called Saurians.
Ruled by the Pyro Archon and the God of War, Mavuika, Natlan is a place of burning elemental power. The region is divided into six major tribes, each with its own distinct culture, traditions, and customs.
Natlan boasts four sub-areas as of writing: Basin of Unnumbered Flames, Coatepec Mountain, Tequemecan Valley, and Toyac Springs. Each of these areas offers its unique challenges, rewards, and breathtaking scenery.

How to unlock the Natlan Archon quest in Genshin
To unlock the first part of the Natlan Archon quest, you must:
- Reach Adventure Rank level 28
- Complete all Liyue Archon quests in Chapter I: Farewell, Archaic Lord
- Act I: Of the Land Amidst Monoliths
- Act II: Farewell, Archaic Lord
- Act III: A New Star Approaches
Once you’ve met the necessary Natlan requirements, you can use the quick start function in the Events tab to begin the Natlan Archon quest.
