In a recent developers’ blog, HoYoverse shared insights into the major changes players can expect. Among the most significant updates is the introduction of a new World Level 9.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new World Level 9 update in Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact, the World Level is a crucial game mechanic that determines both enemy difficulty and reward quality.
As your World Level increases, enemies become more challenging. The loot from chests, bosses, and domains also becomes more valuable.
According to the developers, reaching the new World Level boosts the levels of normal enemies, elite foes, and bosses by about 10 levels.
In exchange, the rewards are significantly enhanced, with bosses at this level guaranteed to drop at least three character level-up materials.
To upgrade to the new World Level, Travelers must reach Adventure Rank 58.
Previously, the game capped the World Level at 8, which players could achieve by reaching Adventure Rank 55 and completing Ascension Quest 4.
