The T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown turned out to be one of the most exciting Valorant tournaments so far, as TSM proved themselves the best Valorant team in North America by defeating T1 3-0 in the grand final.

With some of the best pros and streamers in North America playing, the tournament was packed with highlight plays.

Here’s our picks for the top five:

5. Corey puts on his clutch pants

What was supposed to be an easy round win for FaZe Clan turned disastrous when four members of the team were picked off early. However, Corey “Corey” Nigra, was able to salvage the round, putting on his clutch pants and getting four quick kills on Sentinels to prevent the spike defuse.

4. Hiko can’t miss

Spencer “Hiko” Martin proved why he is widely considered one of the best Valorant players in the world right now with four laser-focused headshots on FaZe Clan to put his team at match point.

3. Brax’s unbelievable spike defense

There’s a reason why you shouldn’t try to test T1 team captain, Braxton “Brax” Pierce’s aim, and 100 Thieves learned this the hard way as he cleaned up their B site.

A few rounds later, Brax would school the new members of 100 Thieves yet again by winning a 3v1 clutch.

2. Skadoodle’s OP ace

Prior to T1’s Grand Final match with TSM, both teams faced one another in a highly contested upper bracket match where Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham kept his team alive by getting a clutch Operator ace.

1. Wardell puts on an OP masterclass

Matthew “Wardell” Yu was the clear MVP of the tournament, putting together a masterful display of how to properly use an Operator in a pro match.

Wardell was playing with complete confidence – hitting quick scope Op shots, shutting down site rushes, and hitting opponents while they tried to jiggle peek him from cover. Wardell finished the final match against T1 with a 30/11/8 KDA score.
