Unlike other characters in HSR, Acheron doesn’t have an energy bar and solely relies on stacks of Slashed Dreams to activate her ultimate, which can give her an unfair advantage in the battle. The more quickly she stacks up Slashed Dreams, the more frequently she can use her ultimate and thus deal massive amount of damage.

In the Name of the World (5-star)Increases the wearer’s DMG to debuffed enemies by 24%. When the wearer uses their Skill, the Effect Hit Rate for this attack increases by 18%, and ATK increases by 24%.Stellar Warp
Good Night and Sleep Well (4-star)For every debuff the target enemy has, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 12%, stacking up to 3 time(s). This effect also applies to DoT.Stellar Warp

Acheron’s signature light cone, Along the Passing Shore, is undoubtedly the best choice for her build. Equipping this will apply a debuff to enemies, increase damage, crit damage, and Acheron’s ultimate damage. No other light cone comes close to providing the buffs that Acheron’s signature light cone does.

Acheron can also benefit greatly from using Kafka’s signature light cone, Patience is All You Need. Like her own, this light cone can significantly increase her damage, but most importantly, it can increase Acheron’s speed. With more speed, Acheron gets more turns, which means she can gain Slashed Dreams more quickly, which means using her ultimate more frequently.

Silver Wolf’s signature light cone, Incessant Rain, is also a good option for Acheron, especially if you’re running a Nihility team with at least one debuffer. This light cone can not just inflict a debuff on an enemy, but can also increase the chance of inflicting a debuff. It can also boost basic damage and crit damage.

Equipping In the Name of the World light cone will increase Acheron’s damage done to debuffed enemies up to 24%. Additionally, it will increase the chance of inflicting a debuff on an enemy and boost attack. Unlike other light cones in this list, you can get this one easily since it’s part of the Stellar Wrap.

Good Night and Sleep Well may be a 4-star light cone, but it works perfectly with Acheron. Simply put, the more debuffs an enemy has, the more damage you deal to that enemy. Like In the Name of the World, it’s part of the Stellar Wrap, so you can get it anytime.

ACHERON RELICSRELIC DESCRIPTION
Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters– 2-piece bonus: Increases DMG dealt to enemies with debuff by 12%.
– 4-piece bonus: Increases CRIT Rate by 4%. The wearer deals 8%/12% increased CRIT DMG to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn(s).
Prisoner in Deep Confinement– 2-piece bonus: ATK increases by 12%.
– 4-piece bonus: For every DoT the target enemy is afflicted with, the wearer will ignore 6% of its DEF when dealing DMG to it. This effect is valid for a max of 3 DoTs.
Genius of Brilliant Stars-2-piece bonus: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
-4-piece bonus: When the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum Weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.
Band of Sizzling Thunder – 2-piece bonus: Increases Lightning DMG by 10%.
– 4-piece bonus: When the wearer uses their Skill, increases the wearer’s ATK by 20% for 1 turn(s).

The Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters is the best Relic set for Acheron because it synergizes perfectly with Acheron’s kit. Acheron’s damage output depends entirely on applying debuff to enemies, which is why, ideally, your entire party should have at least two characters capable of inflicting debuffs. Equipping two pieces of this relic set will increase the damage Acheron deals to debuffed enemies, whereas equipping four pieces of this relic set will increase her crit rate and crit damage to debuffed enemies. This can significantly increase Acheron’s overall damage output.

The Prisoner in Deep Confinement is a good choice if you’re running an Acheron DOT team with Kafka, Black Swan, and Guinaifen. With this, Acheron will ignore the defenses of enemies inflicted with DOT, allowing her to deal more damage. The more DOT debuffs applied, the more breachable their defenses. Acheron will also get an attack buff, further increasing her damage output.

Breaching enemy defense will automatically increase Acheron’s damage, and with four pieces of Genius of Brilliant Stars Relic set, she can ignore 20% of an enemy defense, granted they are weak to Quantum damage. It’s a situational relic set and would be the most effective against bosses weak to Quantum damage.

Acheron will also benefit from using four pieces of the Band of Sizzling Thunder relic set since it will boost her Lightning damage and increase her attack when she uses her skill.

Best Acheron build: planar ornaments

ACHERON PLANAR ORNAMENTSPLANAR ORNAMENTS DESCRIPTION
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm (5-star)2-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When entering battle, if at least one other ally follows the same Path as the wearer, then the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 12%.
Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation (5-star)2-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 4%. When an enemy target gets defeated, the wearer’s CRIT DMG increases by 4%, stacking up to 10 time(s).
Inert Salsotto (5-star)2-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.

Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm planar ornament is great if you have at least one more Nihility character in your party. With this, Acheron will get attack and crit damage boosts, which will stack up with what you get from light cones and having multiple Nihility characters in your party.

Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation can significantly increase Acheron’s crit rate and damage and is a must if you have a crit-focused build. With this, every time an enemy gets defeated, Acheron gets a 4% crit damage bonus, which can stack up to 10 times; absolutely crazy, in our opinion.

Inert Salsotta is also a good option, albeit a tricky one. Equipping this on Acheron will increase her crit rate, which, when reaches  50%, will boost her ultimate and follow-up attack. Since Acheron doesn’t deal follow-up attacks, she can only benefit from the ultimate damage boost, which is still pretty significant. As mentioned previously, Acheron deals the most damage from her ultimate, so anything that can buff it is worth investing in.

Best Acheron build: team composition

As evident from our light cone and relic recommendations, Acheron benefits the most from having multiple Nihility characters in her party that debuff enemies and stack up Slashed Dreams quickly. Of course, the build would be incomplete without an amplifier and a healer.

Interestingly, with the addition of Acheron, you can now also build a mono-Lightning team. Since there are multiple possibilities, you may want to check our best Acheron team guide for a more thorough explanation of Acheron’s premium, budget-friendly, and mono teams in Honkai Star Rail.

That sums up our best Acheron build guide in Honkai Star Rail.
