The Herta (or Herta Prime) is a 5-star Erudition character who excels in dealing back-to-back AoE Ice attacks to her enemies, particularly to elites and bosses. The Herta’s kit is a bit convoluted but is a surprisingly easy character to play as, granted, you have a team that compliments her.

Best The Herta teams — premium and free-to-play
The Herta requires a very particular team synergy.
She works best and most efficiently with Erudition units that deal AOE and follow-up attacks, as they allow her to inflict more stacks of Interpretation on enemies, gain all sorts of damage buffs, and deal boosted damage to enemies inflicted by Interpretation.

The Herta and Jade complement each other perfectly in every way. At the time of writing, no other HSR unit synergizes with The Herta as well as Jade does.
For starters, Jade increases her speed. The Herta excels in dealing back-to-back AOE attacks, and by gaining a speed boost, she gets more turns, which means more damage output from her end.
Likewise, The Herta’s Debt Collector status and consecutive AOE attacks allow Jade to gain Charges quickly and, as such, inflict follow-up attacks more frequently, which, in turn, also boosts her attack and crit-damage.
The more AOE follow-up attacks Jade deals, the more stacks of Interpretations Herta inflict on enemies. The more Interpretations she inflicts, the more damage she deals. Moreover, The Herta gains more stacks of Answer, which boosts her Ultimate ability.
The Herta’s damage boost is increased further due to Jade’s Erudition nature. Jade and other allies gain a crit-damage boost from The Herta, a bonus effect for having two Erudition units on the team.
Lastly, The Herta gains Ultimate energy from allies’ turns, which includes follow-up attacks. Thanks to Jade, The Herta can unleash her Ultimate more frequently.
In short, it’s not just The Herta who deals bonus damage to enemies by having Jade on her side, but the latter sees an increase in her damage output as well.
Robin can boost allies’ attack, damage, crit damage, and fast-forward action, all of which benefit The Herta the most. She can also boost the crit damage of follow-up attacks and increase Jade’s overall damage output.
Jade’s Debt Collector buff comes with a price, and The Herta will be in need of constant healing, which is where Lingsha comes in.
Lingsha can heal and deal AOE and follow-up attacks, making her a must-have sustain unit for The Herta’s team. Outside of this, Lingsha and Fuyuan’s AOE and follow-up attacks, respectively, boost Interpretation stack generation for The Herta.

Herta can deal AOE and follow-up attacks, allowing The Herta to stack Interpretation quickly. The latter also gets the Erudition damage boost.
Herta gains a crit damage boost from The Herta, though it doesn’t affect her damage output in the way it affects Jade. Additionally, if The Herta (or any other Ice unit) had frozen enemies, Herta’s ultimate deals more damage to them.
Trailblazer Remembrance is a vital member of this team as they deal AOE damage and boost crit-damage for all allies. Above all, Trailblazer’s True Damage is what makes them stand out, as it can significantly increase the overall damage output of the team.
Gallagher’s role in this team is somewhat similar to Lingsha’s role in the premium The Herta team. Aside from providing healing, Gallagher can use his ultimate to deal AOE damage and help stack up Interpretations for The Herta.
