But with the release of Honkai Star Rail version 3.0, Mem takes the spotlight. This small, pink, and undeniably adorable creature flutters around with an endearing charm that’s hard to resist.

Everything you need to know about Mem in Honkai Star Rail
Mem is a physical manifestation of the Path of Remembrance and first appears in Amphoreus.
We catch our first glimpse of it as soon as the Trailblazer lands on Amphoreus. While navigating the desolate ruins, the mysterious creature appears, leading them through the devastation.
As the Trailblazer attempts to follow it, Mem reveals a surprising ability: magic that transports them to a time when society was still thriving. This unexpected phenomenon leaves the Trailblazer astonished for it’s the first time they’ve encountered such a power.
She returns during the mission “Night Veil, Shroud the Silent Past,” where players solve puzzles to gain an audience with Oronyx, the Veil of Evernight.
Oronyx was hesitant until it saw the Trailblazer. She then invites the Trailblazer on a journey to the past.
It is here that the creature reappears, demonstrating its unique ability to observe events from both the past and future.
During the introduction, Oronyx mentions that this endearing creature must accompany the Trailblazer on their journey to find “mother.”
This is where the Trailblazer unlocks the Path of Remembrance, unlocking a new set of skills for the Trailblazer meant to help their teammates.
The creature later assisted in defeating Nikador by helping the Trailblazer travel to a once-thriving Castrum Kremnos during the Kremnos Festival.
There, they discovered the key to breaking Nikador’s immortality and ultimately defeating him in the present time.
Before the final confrontation, Mem could only communicate using simple phrases. However, after Nikador’s defeat, the creature’s communication ability improved significantly, surprising the Trailblazer.
Much of Mem’s origins and how it came to be remain a mystery, leaving room for potential revelations in future updates.
