The Gorge roars back to life as the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 arrives in Indonesia.
Starting October 12, 2024, the top squads from across the globe converge in Jakarta, all vying for the coveted title and the lion’s share of the massive US$1 million prize pool.
What is the Honor of Kings Championship 2024?
The Honor of Kings Championship 2024 is the pinnacle event of the 2024 season, serving as the world championship and the grand finale of the first-ever Honor of Kings Invitational Series.
As the successor to the original International Championship, it marks a significant shift in the competitive scene, with no Chinese teams participating for the first time in the tournament’s history.
Instead, Chinese teams compete in the KPL Grand Finals, while the best international teams battle for global dominance at Honor of Kings Championship 2024.
Honor of Kings Championship 2024 format
The Honor of Kings Championship 2024 begins with the Group Stage from October 12 to October 17.
In the Group Stage, the 16 teams are split into four groups of four to compete in a single round-robin best-of-three (Bo3) format.
The top two teams from each group qualify for the playoffs, held from October 18 to 19 and October 25 to 27.
The playoffs feature a Double Elimination Bracket, with group winners seeded to avoid facing each other in the first match.
All playoff matches play out in a best-of-five (Bo5), while the grand final is a best-of-seven (Bo7) battle.
