5 teams to watch out for in Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2
LGD Gaming MY
LGD Gaming MY has quickly positioned itself as a team to watch in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2.
The Malaysian team is driven by top-tier talent. Both Tat Yann “MSKing” Chan and Li Zhe “Zhe” Low showcased their prowess in the Honor of Kings International Championship 2023 under the banner of the MAS Tigers.
This international experience was apparent in their run at the Honor of Kings Invitational Malaysia Qualifier where they dominated the competition.
They swept Axis Boskurr and Nova Esports in the upper bracket, then hammered TEAM SECRET in the grand finals, 3-1, to play in the Invitational in front of their home crowd.
As all teams vie for glory in Kuala Lumpur, one thing is for certain: these hometown heroes will put up a show.
Impunity Esports
Impunity Esports’ journey through the Myanmar & Cambodia Qualifier was nothing short of dominant, beginning with a sweep over D-Roar Honor in the upper bracket semifinals.
They continued their relentless march, defeating Team Max not once but twice—first in the upper bracket final and then again in the grand final to secure their spot in the Invitational.
Veteran top laner Hein “AhXing” Naing and roamer Kyaw “Megumi” Oo bring a wealth of experience to the squad, as both participated in the prestigious Honor of Kings International Championships in 2022 and 2023.
With a proven track record and seasoned leadership, Impunity Esports is undoubtedly a team to keep on your radar in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2.
KAGENDRA
After dominating the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 – Indonesia Qualifier, all eyes are on KAGENDRA.
Bannered by five highly experienced players, their mechanics, and synergy were on full display during the qualifier, remaining unblemished throughout the event.
They started their run with a decisive 2-0 victory over Alter Ego in the upper bracket semifinals, before taking down Back to Retro with another 2-0 scoreline to book a ticket to the finals.
KAGENDRA had a rerun with Alter Ego in the grand finals, but they proved that their performance was no fluke as they served their opponents a massive 3-0 sweep to secure their spot in the Invitational.
BOOM ESPORTS
BOOM ESPORTS has garnered much attention with their near-perfect performance in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 – Philippines Qualifier.
They sparked their campaign by taking down Team Flash PH in the upper bracket semifinals with a decisive 2-0 victory, before outlasting Blacklist International, 2-1 to secure their spot in the grand finals.
BOOM ESPORTS was nothing short of spectacular in the grand finals. They sent an exclamation point in the Philippine HOK scene after serving Blacklist International a clean 3-0 sweep.
With a dynamic mix of seasoned MOBA veterans, expect BOOM ESPORTS to make a mark in the upcoming tournament.
TEAM SECRET
Despite a setback in the Malaysian Qualifier where LGD Gaming MY defeated them, TEAM SECRET refused to give up their hopes of joining the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2.
Instead, they showcased their tenacity and skill in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 SEA Last Chance Qualifier, proving their mettle against some of the fiercest competition in the region.
They swept through the quarterfinals and semifinals of the tournament with commanding performances. However, their true test came against fellow Malaysian team, Nova Esports.
It was a seesaw series, but TEAM SECRET ultimately emerged victorious in a five-game thriller to secure their spot in the Invitational.
Now with a chance of playing in front of their home crowd, expect TEAM SECRET to bring this never-say-die attitude to the global stage.
