It’s official: The United States is now experiencing a shortage of Nintendo Switch consoles.
Most gaming retailers have run out of online and in-store stocks of Nintendo’s portable video game system, according to a report by Business Insider. This includes popular stores like Amazon, Target, GameStop, Best Buy, and Walmart.

Nintendo promises to accommodate customers by rolling out more systems.
“Nintendo Switch hardware is selling out at various retail locations in the US, but more systems are on the way. We apologize for any inconvenience,” according to a statement by the Japanese gaming company.
Most of the Switch’s components come from some of the factories in Wuhan, China where the novel coronavirus COVID-19 broke out.
