Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Grand Theft Auto V topped the list of the most downloaded games of the year on the PlayStation Store in the United States and Europe, respectively.
GTA V was in fourth place in the U.S. and Modern Warfare also came fourth in Europe. It’s no surprise to see Modern Warfare top the charts in America, as it is already the highest-selling game in the Call of Duty franchise on this console generation with US$600 million in sales just three days after being released last October.
It’s interesting to see that GTA V is still going strong, considering that it first released for the PlayStation 3 in September 2013 with the PlayStation 4 port following over a year after.
Both games notably beat out the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Minecraft’s PlayStation 4 Edition, among others, to top their respective lists.
