Are you ready to conquer with a new general gracing Summoner’s Rift? You’ll want to note down the official Ambessa release date.
We met her first in Arcane, Riot Games’ League of Legends animated series that’s streaming exclusively on Netflix. In season one, we learn that she is a general, one who is renowned, respected, and feared in the Noxian army.
She is also Mel Medarda’s mother, someone whose personality contrasts sharply with her own. This divergence not only highlights their differences but also shapes their interactions, leading to unique dynamics between them.
Who is Ambessa Medarda?
In Arcane season one, we learn about Ambessa’s past and why she behaves the way she does.
At the age of ten, her father took her to the aftermath of the Battle of Hildenard. There, they collected weapons from the fallen in exchange for a gold coin each, exposing her to the harsh reality of death.
As an adult, Ambessa sought to instill those same principles in her two children. Unfortunately, neither her son nor daughter ended up like her. Her son Kino favored diplomacy over conflict. Mel too, adopted his perspective, viewing war and killing as a last resort.
Eventually, Ambessa sent Mel away from Noxus to Piltover, suggesting that her sentimental nature better resonates with the idealists there.
