With the cancellation of the 2020 Mid-Season Invitational, Riot Games has announced that the League of Legends Championship Series will return with the Summer Split on June 13.
LCS Academy will also make its return a day earlier on June 12.
As for the game schedule, the LCS will be starting its four-game schedule earlier on Saturday and Sunday with the first game commencing at 1:00 p.m. PDT (4:00 a.m. GMT+8). Monday will host two LCS games starting at 5:00 p.m. PDT (9:00 a.m. GMT+8).
With the Spring Split initiating a quick transition to a remote, online format due to COVID-19, the LCS will continue with the same format for the Summer Split while keeping their hopes up about a return to the LCS Studios.
The league will follow local and state guidelines about the crisis to determine when it’s safe to revert to the offline, studio format.
The Summer Split will begin with a Spring Finals rematch between Cloud9 and FlyQuest at 1 p.m. PDT (5 a.m. GMT+8).
