Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup has officially been announced as Misfits Gaming’s new bot laner (MSF).
He was previously the bot laner for LCS squad Team SoloMid (TSM), however, due to the return Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, as well as “synergy issues” he was released by TSM.
“Unfortunately, it became apparent as the season progressed that the synergy within the bot lane and between the bot lane and the rest of the team was not developing fast enough to keep up with the top duos in the league,” TSM said in a statement.
TSM landed on the fifth spot of the LCS 2020 Spring Split rankings and only managed to get as far as the quarterfinals in the playoffs.
- TSM end Cloud9’s perfect season with an incredible Cataclysm combo
- G2’s Perkz and Caps will once again swap roles for LEC Summer Split
Kobbe will be replacing previous Misfits bot laner, Ju “Bvoy” Yeong-hoon, who is currently looking for a new team.
In the past, Kobbe was branded as Mr. Consistent for playing seven straight splits (for four years) with Splyce (now MAD Lions).
The LEC 2020 Summer Split starts next month on June 12.
