Did your favorite League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) team fall short in the Summer 2023 playoffs? Don’t worry, they still have a chance at redemption in the LCK Regional Finals 2023.
This tournament serves as a gateway for teams to secure a spot at the World Championship. Teams that narrowly missed direct qualification during the regular season have a chance to prove themselves and earn the last two remaining spots on the world stage.
What is the LCK Regional Finals 2023?
The LCK Regional Finals 2023 will be held to determine the region’s last two representatives at Worlds 2023.
The top four teams with the most championship points — except for teams that already qualified for Worlds — will participate in the LCK Regional Finals. Their seeding is also based on championship points.
The Regional Finals feature a waterfall bracket with best-of-five matches. In the first round, the first seed faces the second seed, and the third seed plays the fourth seed.
Winners of the first round will advance to the second round. The winner of the Regional Finals will claim the LCK’s third seed for Worlds 2023, while the team that comes in second will take fourth seed.
