Match of the week: Fnatic vs MAD Lions
MAD Lions played incredibly well against Fnatic and took advantage of Fnatic’s unusual draft. Bot lane consisted of Martin “Rekkles” Larsson was on Soraka and Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov on Nautilus.
In mid, Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek on Twisted Fate went for a hybrid item path. Together with Graves jungle and Mordekaiser top, the draft could not safely clear minion waves as they did not have the range.
Nonetheless, Fnatic started the game on a good note with Martin “Rekkles” Larsson’s Soraka claiming first blood against Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság’s Senna.
They were actually winning team fights up until the late game, when a string of uncoordinated plays happened.
The game was close until the 30-minute mark, when a fight for Elder Dragon happened. Nemesis entered the pit to clear MAD Lions’ control ward but got trapped and surrounded by MAD.
He then used Flash and Destiny in an attempt to escape, but this put him in a very bad spot and he got taken down immediately.
With Elder Dragon and Baron Nashor buffs, MAD Lions pushed through Fnatic’s base to destroy their Nexus.
Player of the week: Marek “Humanoid” Brázda
Fans witnessed perfect positioning and clean plays from Marek “Humanoid” Brázda’s Orianna in the mid lane.
With Humanoid’s late game Seraph’s Embrace build, he dealt an astounding 48.9% of total damage for his team.
Together with Zhiqiang “Shad0w” Zhao on Lee Sin, they impressed viewers with a well-timed combo.
Invictus Gaming’s Song “Rookie” Eui-jin from the LPL would have been proud to see these Orianna moves from one of the most underrated teams in the LEC.
