LoL patch 14.20 preview
LoL patch 14.20 introduces a balance update with various buffs and nerfs to champions. Riot’s general strategy is to prioritize adjusting systems before making significant changes to individual champions.
The developers are making specific adjustments to certain champions who rely on Eclipse and crit builds, particularly those who have limited alternative options, resulting in buffs for Yasuo and Yone.
Riven also receives a buff to her Q, Broken Wings, after nearly a year without changes. This enhances her early-game damage output and overall effectiveness in lane.
The Collector receives a net buff, but the champions it primarily benefits are still impacted more by the overall changes. As such, Caitlyn and Aphelios receive buffs.
Jhin receives a minor nerf to compensate for the decrease in Collector’s cost to 2,950 gold. The nerf involves reducing his attack damage growth and ultimate base damage.
Additionally, Fated Ashes gets nerfed to its damage-per-second against monsters, addressing its dominance in the jungle.
