League of Legends Lead Gameplay Designer Matt “Riot Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison posted a preview of LoL patch 25.11 on X.
A total of eight champions are receiving buffs. Another four receive nerfs while five are being adjusted.
In terms of junglers, Rengar, Diana, and Udyr are getting straightforward buffs. Udyr and Diana in particular receiving compensation since they were pretty reliant on Liandry’s, which is now in a better state, wrote Riot Phroxzon.
State of AP items in LoL patch 25.11
Some champions, including Twisted Fate, Kassadin, and Ryze, have received indirect nerfs due to changes in items like Swiftness, Archangels, and Rod of Ages (ROA). While Spellbook received a buff, it remains largely unpopular and will need time to gain traction among players, Riot Phroxzon explained.

Now that item balance is more stable, the balance team is shifting their focus to adjusting individual champions. In terms of items themselves, they’re closely monitoring both strong and weak performers.
They aim to position ROA as a flexible option for control-oriented mages, helping them survive the laning phase with its double ruby, though it will offer less raw output as a fully scaled item.
The team is also keeping an eye on Stormsurge, Lich Bane, and Ludens paths, as these items are currently a bit on the stronger side. However, they aren’t significantly out of line to warrant immediate nerfs, wrote Riot Phroxzon.

- Cho’Gath
- Elise
- Lucian
- Smolder
LoL patch 25.11 champion adjustments

- Aatrox
- Annie
- Garen
- Kassadin
- Samira
Samira has been appropriately powerful for her mastery curve, but she lacks a satisfying feel and a clear identity.
Her kit’s key advantages are her snowball potential and teamfight ability. This changelist aims to make Lifesteal more effective on her, which could be the difference between her surviving for a Pentakill or not, and might make builds like starting with Bloodthirster (similar to Draven) more viable.
According to Riot Phroxzon, Kassadin has been stuck between being an anti-mage and a giga-scaler. The team is giving him a bit more early-game power so he can contribute in the early and mid-game, while slightly reducing his late-game to compensate.
They hope to make him more viable in various situations, especially in higher levels of play that heavily punish weak early games.
