Isha is a new female character introduced in Arcane season 2 who forms a relationship with Jinx despite never verbally communicating with her. This relationship heavily impacts the protagonist in unforeseen ways.
Technically, Isha’s first appearance is in Arcane season 2 episode 2 “Watch it all Burn,” but Riot Games gave us many glimpses of her on YouTube when they released the “Isha’s Song” music video on November 7, 2024, two days before the premiere.
The song’s title is translated as “This is a good way” from Mandarin and sung by Eason Chan. Fans have already noted that it’s a “death song,” judging by the lyrics. The cut scenes also show how their relationship draws parallels to Silco and Jinx’s relationship.
Warning: Major spoilers if you haven’t watched Arcane season 2 episode 2 onwards.
Isha’s first appearance in Arcane season 2
In Arcane season 2 episode 2 “Watch it all Burn,” we see a young brown-haired child crawling through Zaun’s tunnels trying to escape from goons. Cornered, she gets grabbed around the neck, but bites her pursuer with her teeth, showing tenacity.
Running away, she finds herself at the edge of a broken tunnel with no way out. The only way to escape is down or bridge the gap to the other side. Courageously, she takes a big leap, grabbing onto the broken tunnel on the other side.
However, she’s unable to hoist herself up, and instead falls two stories down onto Jinx who was coincidentally walking by.
The goons climb down, surrounding Isha and Jinx. In that moment, Jinx swiftly takes out her Blowback and shoots all three opponents in succession.
However, it’s not over for Isha. Jinx points Blowback into her face, asking if she feels the buzzing behind her eyes, which scares her a little. “Because you know, in a moment, it could all… Poow! Best feeling in the world, kid,” Jinx tells her.
In the background, a wall of Jinx’s wanted poster stands. Moving her eyes to the left, Isha realizes that the blue-haired person before her is the most wanted criminal in Piltover. Jinx confirms her identity, then leaves. Isha runs after her.
Isha’s turn to help Jinx out in a tight situation in Arcane season 2 episode 2
In the next Jinx scene, she meets with Sevika in Silco’s office. When she leaves, Smeech comes out of the shadows. He’s been tracking her because he wants to turn her in to Piltover and receive the bounty. Isha, who was hiding in the pipes, realizes that Jinx could be in trouble.
Jinx then goes to the old arcade, putting together parts to make Sevika’s new arm. Just as she was about to leave, Catilyn’s strike team arrives. She tries to flush Jinx out with poisonous green gas, but she manages to escape.
However, its effects take a toll on her. The perfect time to strike, Smeech’s men pin her to the wall. Just as they were about to knock her out, Sevika arrives. Attaching her new arm, she fights Smeech head on.
To help Jinx out, Isha throws a stray bomb over one of his goons and continues to hang around her as they watch Sevika fight.
Isha’s pivotal role in Arcane season 2 episode 3, “Finally Got the Name Right”
In the big showdown between Vi and Jinx, both sides come supported by their comrades. Caitlyn keeps hidden, attempting to find the right shot, while Sevika and Isha are there to back Jinx up.
At the climax, just as Vi was about to end Jinx’s life with one last punch, Isha jumps on top of Jinx and points her shotgun at Vi at close range, threatening to pull the trigger.
Caitlyn reacts, firing a round that knocks Blowback out of her hands. Isha then wraps herself tightly around Jinx despite being told to scram, which saves her life and buys them time to escape.
