League of Legends Lead Gameplay Designer Matt “Riot Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison posted a preview of LoL patch 14.23 today.
In the tweet, he mentioned that the current state of the game is in “a decent spot.” The patch’s main focus is bounties, which he feels is “a bit mistuned right now.”
The dev team is increasing the rate at which bounties accumulate overall and adjusting bounty values to better reflect situations where the team is behind when a player is attempting to solo carry.

The dev team believes Ambessa is in a good place at the moment, and they’re allowing some time for players’ skill growth to catch up. That said, they are adjusting her slightly.
Her passive duration will now match her Q recast time, and ensuring her move orders are cleared after casting her ultimate. This prevents her from unintentionally walking to a location after successfully using it.
Aurora’s nerfs are meant to make her less dominant in elite and pro play. The devs intend for her playstyle to shift away from solely focusing on trapping enemies with her ultimate (she’ll still be effective at it, just a bit less so) and towards encouraging more creative use of her abilities.
Her ultimate will have a longer duration, allowing for more strategic plays, along with a slight increase in range to enhance her versatility.

Yun Tal Wildarrows has garnered a lot of interest, but it’s still somewhat underperforming compared to The Collector, Riot Phroxzon wrote. As such, Riot is slightly nerfing Collector and buffing YunTal to make it more appealing for DPS-focused carries. Collector then becomes a more flexible option for burst-oriented builds.
