Luckily, a devoted One Piece fan made this a reality by creating a Gear 5 LoL skin mod for League of Legends.
Fan reimagines Zac as Luffy Gear 5 in One Piece LoL skin mod
Redditor Sauronkaiser has created a Luffy Gear 5 LoL skin mod for Zac, the gelatinous champion from League of Legends.
With both Zac and Luffy boasting similar elastic and flexible capabilities, this mod seamlessly merges the two characters.
The champion spawn animation begins with Monkey D. Luffy in his default appearance, but within moments, the skin transforms into his Gear 5 form.
You can also see Luffy navigating the Summoner’s Rift, engaging Scuttle Crabs and other jungle monsters in pursuit.
Zac’s passive ability, Cell Division, showcases Luffy dividing into five segments, with the central segment giving a close-up of his Gear 5 look, while the remaining four sections display four giant pieces of meat.
The LoL skin mod also captures the playful elements of the Gear 5 form, showcasing details like Luffy’s eyeballs detaching from his face and his distinctive laughing pose.

Gear 5, also known as Gear Fifth, represents the pinnacle of Luffy’s power in One Piece. This ultimate form is the awakened state of the Gomu Gomu no Mi, a Devil Fruit that grants Luffy’s body the properties of rubber. In Gear 5, Luffy gains an unprecedented level of mastery over his rubbery abilities.
In this form, Luffy’s body undergoes a transformation, where his hair and clothes take on a white hue, while his eyes emit a glow with red ring-like pupils. Additionally, a cluster of white clouds appears to encircle him.
When activated, Gear 5 grants Luffy the ability to instantaneously alter his bulk, rendering him flexible and agile. Moreover, this awakened state allows him to manipulate surfaces, including the very ground he stands on, transforming it into a malleable and stretchable surface reminiscent of rubber.
