One of their ardent admirers is League of Legends support player, T1 Keria. Ryu “Keria” Min-seok has taken his fanboy devotion to new heights, drawing inspiration from the K-pop group as he aspires to reach the Worlds 2023 finals.
T1 Keria ultimately wants to see NewJeans at the Worlds 2023 finals
Keria and his team are gearing up for a showdown against JD Gaming (JDG), the representatives from the League of Legends Pro League (LPL). This crucial match is scheduled for November 12th at the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan, South Korea.
The victor of this best-of-five series will secure their spot in the Worlds 2023 finals, where NewJeans is slated to perform in the opening ceremony.
“I vow to beat JDG and go to the finals to see NewJeans,” he said in an interview with Sports Seoul.
Keria is a member of Bunnies, the fandom dedicated to the K-pop girl group In his spare time, he listens to the group’s music, practicing their dance routines with enthusiasm.
At the height of NewJeans’ song “OMG,” Keria and his bot lane partner, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, showcased their dancing skills on the LCK stage earlier this year.
At T1’s year-end event, T1CON 2022, Keria also treated the audience to a brief dance performance of “Hype Boy.”

In addition to Keria, JD Gaming’s bot laner, Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, has shared his excitement about the upcoming live performance of NewJeans at the finals.
