Riot Games has been teasing fans by slowly revealing details of their upcoming fighting game title set in the League of Legends world — Project L. Today, they’ve finally revealed the game’s name.
Project L name is now officially 2XKO
Project L, officially titled 2XKO, is Riot Games’ upcoming 2v2 tag-based fighting game. While the title has no release date yet, its developers have launched social media channels for the game (@Play2XKO), along with a new trailer.
The developers have previously confirmed that the game will be set in the same universe as League of Legends. It will also see various LoL characters/champions and Runeterra locations such as Piltover & Zaun reappearing.

Project L champions and playable platforms
The new Project L name is likely an allusion to the necessity of a double knockout, or a “2x KO” as a condition of victory. So far, Riot Games has teased five LoL champions as playable fighters in Project L through its development videos:
- Ahri
- Darius
- Ekko
- Jinx
- Katarina
- Illaoi
- Yasuo
The game will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, according to the official website.
