The hit animated series Arcane may have concluded, but the world of Runeterra is far from over.
Arcane creator Christian “Praeco” Linke confirms that new League of Legends shows are being created following the series’ success.
These new shows look into the stories of Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia, expanding beyond the world of Piltover and Zaun previously explored in Arcane.

“We’re far from done,” Praeco said in an interview with League of Legends YouTuber Necrit. “We’re looking at every region, and we now can focus on building a slate to tell many more stories and continue some of them.”
The production of one of these new League of Legends shows began in 2023 and has been in development for the past year.
While Praeco hasn’t disclosed a specific release date for these new League of Legends shows, fans may have to exercise patience.
Given the significant production time of the first two seasons of Arcane — six years for the first and a two-year gap between seasons — it’s reasonable to anticipate a similar timeframe for these upcoming series.
Arcane fans are already familiar with Noxus, the powerful and expansionist empire from which Ambessa Medarda hails. Known for its brutal and aggressive nature, Noxus boasts a diverse roster of League of Legends champions, including Darius, Draven, Katarina, LeBlanc, Mordekaiser, Riven, and Swain.
This empire is perpetually at war with Demacia, a proud and honorable kingdom valuing justice, duty, and the strength of its people. Demacia, with its strong military and disdain for magic, is home to champions like Garen, Kayle, Lux, Sona, Sylas, and Vayne.
In contrast, Ionia is a mystical and spiritual region renowned for its beautiful landscapes, ancient traditions, and powerful magic. This land of balance and harmony, where nature and spirit intertwine, has given rise to champions such as Ahri, Akali, Irelia, Lee Sin, Master Yi, Syndra, Varus, Xayah, Rakan, and Yasuo.
