In Invictus Gaming and Royal Never Give Up’s clash in Week 5 of the LPL, iG put everything on the line in game two. With Royal Never Give Up winning game one, iG were determined to stay in the series.
They took a huge risk, last picking Vayne on red side for Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok.
Both teams were even in gold in the mid game. Su “Southwind” Zhi-Lin started the fight with a Death Sentence on Li “XLB” Xiao-Long’s Olaf. This opened a window for RNG to strike as their team advanced on iG’s bot lane.
However, keep your eyes on TheShy. His position towards the bottom of mid lane meant free hits onto Shi “Ming” Sen-Ming. Dodging Dredge Line, he took down Nautilus to 10% HP.
He then avoided Death’s Grasp with Tumble, buying him time to focus on RNG’s AD carry Lu “Betty” Yu-Hung who was locked down by Varus’ ultimate.
In Mordekaiser’s Realm of Death, TheShy continued to kite perfectly, and finished him off while the rest of his team collapsed on RNG.
iG went on to win the series 2-1.
