All three acts of Arcane season 2 are now available on Netflix and fans have either already binge-watched them or are close to finishing them.
Arcane has been an epic show, with multiple Annie awards under its belt and we simply can’t get enough of it. Now, the big question is—will there be an Arcane season 3?
Here’s your answer.
Is Arcane Season 3 coming?
The answer is no.
Christian Linke, one of the creators of Arcane, has officially confirmed that season 2 is the final season of the show and there will be no Arcane season 3.
Debunking all the rumors about the show potentially getting five seasons, he revealed that they had a “very specific ending” in mind from the beginning.
This means the story of Vi and Jinx has wrapped up with season 2, and while this might disappoint you, there’s also good news. Linke stated that “Arcane is just the beginning of their larger storytelling journey.”
He further added that Vi and Jinx’s arcs “have grown so far beyond our original dreams, and we want to give the same treatment to more champions.”
Linke also confirmed that they are working in partnership with the Fortiche animation studio on future TV and film projects and should be able to share more details by the end of 2024.
Not only this, but he has recently announced on Necrit94’s stream that they are exploring three regions for the next show. “Pretty much all top voted directions are the ones we are exploring. So, we are investing quite a bit in Noxus, Ionia and Demacia,” Linke said.
Marc Merrill, the co-founder of Riot Games has also tweeted that they are looking at different shows and games as well for future shows.
