The Worlds 2024 Knockout stage is where the top eight teams from around the globe clash in a single-elimination king of the hill bracket to determine the final victor — the one team that earns the title, 2024 League of Legends World Champion, and the opportunity to customize their very own team skins.

The Knockout stage format has remained unchanged since the first LoL championship in 2011. The only difference is in the draw phase.

After the Group stage was replaced with the Swiss stage format in 2023 last year, the Knockout stage matchups are determined by both match records and a draw. Teams with the highest match record face off against those with the lowest.

The Worlds 2024 Knockout stage features a single-elimination format, where the eight remaining teams battle in best-of-five matches.

Quarterfinal matchups are decided by a draw, that is, teams boasting a 3-0 record face those with a 3-2 record.

The team that wins the final match will be crowned the 2024 World Champions.
