Yasuo The Unforgiven enters the battlefield
The inclusion of the master swordsman on Riot Games’ upcoming fighting game title lineup was not surprising, considering his immense popularity.
It is evident that he makes for a strong and worthwhile addition to the game even if some players criticize him.
Alex Jaffe, lead champion designer on Project L, shared an overview of their roster. “Yasuo is a master swordsman who manipulates the wind with his blade,” he said. “On top of that, he can cancel in and out of a versatile stance, giving him tools for every situation.”
“He can outplay with mixups, go to the air for really technical combos, play defense with his wind wall, or honestly just win neutral with huge normals.”
The swordsman automatically changes his position when assisting, forgoing the need to swap his stance, saving you precious frames in the heat of the moment. Being a stance character, the movement isn’t great, but the combo potential is really high.
Aside from the playable characters Ahri, Darius, Ekko, and Yasuo, Riot has officially announced that popular League of Legends characters such as Jinx, Katarina, and Illaoi will also make their appearance in the game’s roster.
According to Jaffe, those additional champions are still undergoing development.
The new title is shaping up to be one of the top-tier fighting game in the market, and every fighting game fan is excited for its release.
