In Team SoloMid’s clash against 100 Thieves in Week 9 of the LCS, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg showed why he’s considered one of the best mid laners in the League of Legends Championship Series.
Late in the game, with 100 Thieves already halfway through slaying Baron, TSM moved up the river, forcing 100 Thieves to back off. However, as they were regrouping, Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett quickly slid in with a Dragon Strike-to-Cataclysm combo, caging four members of 100 Thieves.
With 100 Thieves locked down, Bjergsen unleashed his army of sand soldiers to execute everyone inside the manmade arena.
Only Liyu “Cody Sun” Sun was able to flash out of the Cataclysm, but Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik followed him with a few crowd-control skills, giving Bjergsen the final blow to complete his pentakill.
Despite the huge team win, TSM couldn’t capitalize on the advantage to finish off 100 Thieves, who still had most of their turrets up.
100 Thieves would eventually win the game with a 19-18 kill score.
