The annual League of Legends All-Star Event (ASE) is all set to put on a grand show on December 5-7 (Pacific Time) at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Here’s a rundown of its full line-up of events, game modes, and personalities for the highly anticipated weekend:
The format
Riot Games has prepared six different game modes for LoL’s All-Stars to play, namely the All-Star 1v1 Tournament, classic 5v5 Summoner’s Rift, Show Matches, Ultra Rapid Fire or URF (original blind pick, not the All Random Ultra Rapid Fire or ARURF mode), and 2v2 Tandem mode.
Among the highlights that this event promises is seeing fan-voted G2 Rasmus “Caps” Borregaard Winther defend his All-Star 1v1 title against 31 other professional players.
LoL’s auto-battler mode Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is also set to appear on the All-Star Event stage for the first time ever.
This year’s charity tournament named Littles & Legends will showcase TFT with League pros (Littles) teaming up with Challenger TFT players (Legends).
The pros and personalities
For LoL’s seventh All-Star Event, a total of 88 personalities will be gracing the stage. This number includes 32 professional players, mixing it up with streamers and content creators.
Among the familiar names we can expect to see are ASE regulars Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Zachary “Sneaky” Escuderi, as well as personalities Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp and Zhao “Fireloli” Zhi-Ming.
Worlds 2019 champions FunPlus Phoenix are also coming as representatives for the League of Legends Pro League, with mid-laner Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang and MVP jungler Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang.
