Berlin-based esports organization G2 Esports and the Rugby union star, Ellis Genge, will be facing off against each other in the Summoner’s Rift.
G2 Founding CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez will be coming out of retirement to play with select G2 players against the loosehead prop star player.
The match will take place tonight at 11 p.m. GMT+8 (5:00 p.m. CEST).
G2 confirmed that ocelote will be joined by Rainbow Six Siege player Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen, while Genge’s team will be made up of four of his friends.

Being stuck at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Genge has entered a few esports competitions for titles like the football simulator FIFA and the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game League of Legends (LoL).
Genge is also in good terms with another LEC team, Excel Esports. He drops by on the British team’s headquarters every now and then, and even plays with Excel Esports’ Co-Founder and CGO Kieran Holmes-Darby.
He also defeated the Excel Esports staff in a League of Legends showmatch in March.
The Ellis Genge vs G2 Esports mixed 5v5 League of Legends game will go live on ocelote’s stream and G2’s stream on Twitch.
