In JD Gaming’s clash against Dominus Esports in week 7 of the LPL Spring split, JD Gaming were up by 4,000 gold in game one at the 20-minute mark. Both teams wanted to secure the second Infernal Dragon, and were posturing around the buff, each waiting for the other to make the first move.
DMO knew they had the upper hand, because JD’s Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran had wasted Maokai’s ultimate previously and went for a big play chaining Wukong’s, Jarvan’s and Miss Fortune’s ultimates for a huge wombo combo that took down Zoom and Zuo “LvMao” Ming-Hao.
However, low on health, DMO were unable to complete the team kill, and were forced to retreat into their jungle. Barely surviving the poke from Lee “LokeN” Dong-wook’s Aphelios, Zeng “Yagao” Qi took that as a cue to charge in on Sylas.
Flashing into five members of DMO, LokeN followed up with his own flash and together with Yagao took down four members of DMO, completely turning the team fight around.
To make matters worse fro DMO, JD’s Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok secured Infernal Dragon as well, as JDG went on to win the game and the series 2-0.
