Summoners will soon be answering the call of the Rift on their Oppo phones.
Riot Games has just teamed up with Chinese electronics brand Oppo to be the exclusive global smartphone partner of League of Legends Esports.
Summoners will get to see the Oppo brand name on three of LoL’s annual global tournaments, namely the All-Star Event, Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), and the highly-anticipated World Championship (popularly known as Worlds). The partnership will begin on October 2, the first day of the 2019 Worlds Play-In Stage.
Oppo will be the one to present the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at both MSI and Worlds. The Oppo Cam will also present cosplay and behind-the-scenes footage and Welcome to the Rift series which puts teams and players in the spotlight.
Aside from these presentations, Oppo will also hold consumer promotions that will give fans an opportunity to attend any of the three LoL global events.

The partnership is Oppo’s first venture into esports, which Oppo’s president of global marketing Brian Shen considers as “a great move” for both companies.
“This is a great move for Riot and OPPO; the partnership will allow us to continue to strengthen our bond with the young as we join them in celebrating the victory of each game,” said Shen.
The League of Legends Esports and Oppo partnership will be good for five years, until 2024 season.
