His abilities grant him immense attack speed and damage. One of his skills allows him to unleash a barrage of bullets capable of decimating multiple targets.
In this ONE Esports guide, we dive into his abilities, strategies, and the best build to maximize his potential.
Claude’s skills in Mobile Legends
Passive – Battle Side-by-side
Dexter launches an extra attack each time Claude’s Basic Attack lands, dealing Physical Damage to the same target. Dexter’s Basic Attack can also trigger Claude’s attack effects with a specified effectiveness.
- Focus on building items that increase attack speed to make the most of this passive.
- The faster Claude attacks, the more often Dexter attacks, boosting your overall damage significantly.
First skill – Art of Thievery
Claude attacks enemies in a fan-shaped area ahead, dealing physical damage and reducing their movement speed and attack speed. For each target hit, Claude gains extra movement and attack speed (doubled if the target is an enemy hero, up to several stacks) for a duration.
- Use this skill whenever it’s available to stack movement speed and attack speed.
- For best results, use this when you’re surrounded by multiple enemies to maximize the speed boost.
- It’s an excellent tool for initiating team fights or chasing down fleeing enemies. The more enemies affected, the greater the advantage.
- When in the lane, use this on jungle creeps nearby to maintain the number of stacks.
Second skill – Battle Mirror Image
Claude leaves a mirror image of Dexter at a designated location. Dexter’s mirror image automatically attacks enemies. Lasts for a few seconds. Claude can activate this skill again to switch places with the mirror image. Dexter’s basic attack deals with physical damage and can trigger Claude’s attack effects.
- Deploy the mirror image inside bushes for surprise attacks or use it to quickly reposition in team fights.
- You can also use it to escape by placing the image over walls or in hard-to-reach places, then swapping places at the last second to evade pursuers.
Ultimate – Blazing Duet
Claude and Dexter rapidly fire at the enemies nearby over 3 seconds, dealing physical damage to up to two targets each time they shoot. This skill benefits from Claude’s basic attack effects and grants him a shield that can absorb damage.
- Claude’s ultimate ability can change the outcome of team fights, but it requires good timing and positioning.
- Activate Art of Thievery first to increase your attack speed, then activate Battle Mirror Image to position yourself optimally before launching your ultimate.
- Timing is crucial, so use it when enemy crowd control abilities are on cooldown to avoid being interrupted.
A comprehensive guide on how to play Claude in Mobile Legends
Recommended battle spell
Purify gives you a safety net as it instantly frees you from all forms of crowd control effects.
By instantly clearing all crowd control effects, you can maintain offensive pressure and prevent the enemy team from targeting you with burst damage.
Vengeance offers a different kind of defense mechanic. Normally, the marksman relies on his mobility and kiting abilities to outmaneuver enemies, but in games where he’s frequently targeted and at risk of being burst down, Vengeance offers a solution.
When activated, Vengeance reduces incoming damage by a significant amount and reflects a portion of it back to attackers. This can enhance Claude’s survivability during his ultimate, Blazing Duet, where he’s often in close range to deal maximum AoE damage.
Recommended emblem
Swift, Tenacity, and Quantum Charge are the most suitable talents that significantly enhance Claude’s gameplay.
Swift is a talent that aligns perfectly with the Master Thief’s inherent playstyle, which prioritizes Attack Speed. With the Attack Speed boost, you will have an easier time clearing minion waves and farming.
Despite his agility, the marksman is vulnerable to burst damage. This is where Tenacity is critical. It provides him with an increase in Physical and Magical Defense when his health drops below a certain threshold, buying him time to slither out of fights.
Quantum Charge focuses on enhancing Claude’s offensive capabilities. It works by accumulating charges on Claude with each Basic Attack, which upon reaching maximum stacks, boosts the damage of his next skill.
Given Claude’s high Attack Speed, especially after pilfering speed from opponents, this talent can significantly amplify his damage output.
Claude best build
Focus on farming in the early game to build the three most important items for Claude: Corrosion Scythe, Demon Hunter Sword, and Golden Staff. This is more popularly known as the Trinity Build.
When combined, these items offer a substantial increase in both Physical Attack and Attack Speed, two aspects that Claude needs to build on to be an effective damage dealer for the team.
Corrosion Scythe slows down the movement speed of your opponents, while Demon Hunter Sword converts Basic Attack damage based on the enemy’s HP and also provides lifesteal.
Additionally, the Golden Staff enhances the on-hit effects of both the Corrosion Scythe and Demon Hunter Sword, allowing Claude to melt even the tankiest enemies.
After getting these three core items, get Wind of Nature. Wind of Nature is valuable for the physical immunity it grants upon activation, allowing Claude to evade burst damage from enemy marksmen or assassins for 2 seconds.
Additionally, Wind of Nature’s attack speed and lifesteal boosts align well with the Master Thief’s rapid attack style, improving his sustainability in prolonged fights.
Finally, purchase Sea Halberd. It is an effective counter to heroes with high healing or shield regeneration due to its unique passive, Lifebane, which reduces enemy healing effects. This is particularly useful against sustain-heavy opponents, making Claude more effective against tankier heroes.

Tips and easy combos
Claude is a scaling hero, so playing him requires a lot of patience and practice. In the early game, focus on farming efficiently to get your core items faster. The quicker you can enhance Claude’s attack speed, the sooner you’ll be able to leverage the full potential of Battle Side-by-Side.
Once you finish Corrosion Scythe, Demon Hunter Sword, and Golden Staff, you can increase your participation in team fights.
Stay at the edges of team fights where you can safely land your Basic Attacks without putting yourself in harm’s way.
In team fights, use Claude’s mobility to reposition and avoid crowd control while keeping a steady stream of attacks. Your goal is to maintain consistent pressure on key targets without getting caught out.
Before using Blazing Duet, check that your enemies are all grouped up to hit as many as possible.
First, use Art of Thievery to make your attacks faster, then activate Battle Mirror Image to get into the best spot, and go for your ultimate.
