Season 6 of Mobile Legends Pro League (MPL) ID was one of the most competitive seasons of pro MLBB in recent memory.
One team that exceeded expectations throughout Season 6 was Alter Ego, who formed a new ID superteam with the signing of Udil.
Despite having to work things out with the new support player, Alter Ego started the season with an incredible win over ONIC Esports.
“Winning against ONIC isn’t what made me happy,” said Udil. “Rather, I’m happy because I now have a real family in this team. This is the best team and I’m very proud to be part of Alter Ego.”
With incredible chemistry and all-star performances across all roles, Alter Ego easily finished the regular season in first place with an 11-3 record.

In the playoffs, Udil and the boys hit a slight speedbump with an unexpected 1-2 defeat against Bigetron Alpha in the quarterfinals. Being able to iron out their small mistakes, Alter Ego came back stronger in the Loser’s Final rematch and swept BTR for a grand finals appearance.
The AE squad went on to face defending champions RRQ Hoshi in a best-of-five series. While Alter Ego was already showing their peak gameplay, RRQ bested them with Alberttt’s impressive hypercarry gameplay and won the playoffs with an extremely close 3-2 scoreline.
Alter Ego may have only ended as runner-ups in MPL ID S6, but manager Aditya Santos was more than proud for their first-ever grand finals appearance.
“This is the first time Alter Ego has ever reached the grand final,” said Santos. “RRQ was more used to a best-of-five draft like this and were probably more prepared mentally and physically. Maybe next season, we’ll show everyone something new.”
