The 3 best heroes to counter Hylos in Mobile Legends

With exceptional durability and utility, Hylos can be a pain to go against in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. But as formidable as he is, the Grand Warden can be bested if you know what heroes to use.

The tank excels at leading charges with Law and Order and Ring of Punishment, which deal damage and slow enemies. His ultimate, Glorious Pathway, provides a movement boost for allies and slows enemies, making it a versatile tool for initiation or escape.

But what makes Hylos an overwhelming presence in the game is his passive, Thickened Blood, which gives him extra HP for every extra mana point he has, adding to his already high base HP.

Despite this, there are heroes in the game you can use to take down this robust half-human. These heroes possess skill kits able to foil his initiation and turn his durability into his biggest flaw.

Here are three heroes who have the tools to counter Hylos in MLBB

Karrie

Karrie excels against tank heroes like Hylos due to her exceptional attack speed, burst, and HP-based damage. Her passive, Lightwheel Mark, deals True Damage based on a percentage of the target’s max HP, making her more effective the higher Hylos’ HP is.

This allows her to shred through his defenses quickly, no matter how durable he appears.

In a direct matchup, Karrie has the advantage. Using Phantom Step, she can evade the Grand Warden’s skills while consistently applying True Damage from her passive. Her ultimate ensures sustained damage from a safe distance, allowing her to whittle down his HP pool effectively.

During team fights, focusing on the tank helps dismantle the enemy team’s formation and their ability to contest objectives. For optimal performance, build Corrosion Scythe and Golden Staff to boost attack speed, followed by Demon Hunter Sword for amplified HP-based damage.

Valir

Valir is a nightmare matchup for Hylos, countering the tank’s forward-zoning playstyle with his disruptive skillset. Burst Fireball can scorch and slow him, halting his advance, while Searing Torrent pushes him back if he gets too close. These tools alone make it difficult for Hylos to engage effectively.

Valir’s passive, Ashing, turns the Grand Warden’s high HP into a liability. Each skill hit applies Ablaze, dealing magic damage based on max HP over time. With enough stacks, the fire detonates, dealing more HP-based magic damage and stunning the tank.

To maximize this, manually cast Burst Fireball repeatedly to build stacks, stun him, and amplify the damage. If the tank hero closes in, activate Vengeance Flame to remove crowd control effects, then use Searing Torrent to push him back and regain control.

Consistent use of these abilities keeps the Grand Warden ineffective while melting his HP pool.

Alpha

Alpha is an excellent fighter for countering Hylos in one-on-one situations. His passive, Beta, Advance!, deals True Damage and applies a powerful slow, making it harder for Hylos to sustain or escape.

Each time Alpha deals damage, Beta fires a laser that amplifies his output while keeping the tank in check.

To counter the tank effectively, use Rotary Impact and Force Swing to deal damage, heal, and apply crowd control. Save Spear of Alpha to disrupt Hylos when he initiates with Glorious Pathway, stunning him and forcing his team out of the movement speed zone.

Build War Axe and Bloodlust Axe for sustained damage and healing, or opt for Sea Halberd to reduce the enemy tank’s regeneration and further weaken his durability.
