Chou M4 skin launches on August 21, presale starts on August 14
In a splash art of the upcoming skin released on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang‘s official channels on August 9, fighter hero Chou is seen donning the team’s iconic jacket while riding a wave with purple orcas, which depict ECHO as apex predators in the MLBB esports scene.
“We enjoyed the process of creating this with them, and the final output definitely represents our vision as a team,” said the team’s country manager Mitch Liwanag.
“The skin design is great and extraordinary, it’s really something that we like. Even the ECHO jacket I said I wanted to be included is seen. We had fun designing this skin and we hope our fans like it,” said star roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera.
The Chou M4 skin will be launched on August 21, with the presale scheduled on August 14 to 20.
Moonton will release a series of in-game events to provide fans with discounts.
ECHO will have a livestream on their official Facebook page on the launch date to showcase the new skin’s in-game effects, and give away prizes to fans.
Back in the M4 World Championship, Yawi explained why they picked Chou to have the champion skin. “Chou is not only used by one person (in the team),” he said. “All members know how to use the hero.”
Additionally, Chou played a big part in the team’s success in the tournament. They picked the hero eight times, and won six.
ECHO topped their group in M4 with a perfect record, then dominated Falcon Esports and ONIC Esports to reach the upper bracket final, where they lost to Blacklist International.
Nevertheless, they bounced back, beating RRQ Hoshi in the lower bracket final, and got revenge against Blacklist with a resounding sweep in the grand final.
