Ducky’s contribution to Mobile Legends esports throughout the years
Moonton’s PR manager, Keith Medrano, explained why the veteran coach deserved the award in a press release.
“Ducky’s contribution to the growth of MLBB esports in the Philippines was incomparable,” he wrote. “He has been a respectable figure in the Philippine MLBB esports scene, and he continues to deliver pride and glory to our country.”
The voting committee consists of active players, the MPL PH Press Corps, Moonton Games staff, and community members.
Ducky led Bren Esports to their first MPL PH championship in Season 6, securing them a spot at the M2 World Championship.
At M2, he led the team to victory in an epic seven-game grand final battle against Myanmar’s Burmese Ghouls. They made history as the first Filipino team to win an M-series trophy.
After five seasons of struggling to reach the top three in MPL PH, the team made a remarkable comeback this year, with Bren Esports winning the 32nd SEA Games and the IESF World Esports Championship in 2023.
Additionally, they’ve secured a spot at the M5 World Championship, alongside Blacklist International.
