Fnatic ONIC PH blazed through the MPL PH Season 14 playoffs to secure their spot in the grand final.

They swept Aurora 3-0 in the upper bracket semifinals and took down M5 World Champions Falcons AP Bren 3-1 in the upper bracket final.

Meanwhile, Aurora fought back through the play-ins and in the lower bracket to setup a rematch in the grand final.

With their backs against the wall, the Sonics delivered a masterclass in composure, sealing the title with a brilliant defense in the deciding game.

The intense series began with Fnatic ONIC PH claiming the first two games.

King “K1NGKONG” Perez’s sharp retribution and late-game precision on Suyou in game one gave FNOP a narrow victory, while Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez’s performance on the Yve in game two guided them to a comeback to take a 2-0 series lead.

But Aurora wasn’t going down without a fight. Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcase led the charge in game three with an impressive performance on the Gatotkaca, putting Aurora on the board.

FNOP bounced back in game four with a dominant performance, as Duane “Kelra” Pillas took control with his Harith, and Super Frince once again played flawlessly on Yve to give FNOP a commanding 3-1 lead.

However, Aurora showed incredible resilience, with Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo leading a brilliant comeback in game five using Cecilion to keep their championship hopes alive.

Aurora rode on this momentum in game six, as John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto led the charge, posting a 5/2/7 KDA on Alpha and forcing the series to a winner-takes-all game seven.

In the final showdown, Aurora pressed hard, but Fnatic ONIC PH’s brilliant defense in the 21st minute swung the momentum in their favor.

With the 4-3 series victory, FNOP claimed the MPL PH Season 14 title and is set to lead the Philippines’ charge in M6.

Aurora will also represent the region in the upcoming world championship tournament.
