To master Fredrinn, you’ll need quick fingers and a lot of patience. He has four skills in total, and chaining his skills requires practice. We’re here to guide you along the way in this beginner’s guide.
Fredrinn’s skills in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
Passive – Crystalline Armor
Fredrinn gains Combo Points each time his skill hits a non-minion enemy. His ultimate costs different numbers of Combo Points at different skill levels. Fredrinn stores large percentage of the damage he receives as Crystal Energy, which decays after a couple of seconds.
Fredrinn can convert the stored Crystal Energy into HP. Gaining a Combo Point resets the decaying timer.
- The Crystal Energy is not an added shield. Instead, think of it as an indicator of how much HP you can gain through your basic attack and skills.
- Enemies can see how much Crystal Energy you have. That’s why it’s important to use Appraiser’s Wrath whenever he has a huge amount of Crystal Energy in his HP bar.
- You can also gain HP by attacking minions and creeps, though the HP increase is much greater when inflicting damage to enemy heroes.
- Since Fredrinn doesn’t use mana to cast skills, spam all your skills in the laning phase if a Crystal Energy appears in your health bar. You won’t be able to heal back lost health once the energy decays, unless you have a lifesteal or spell vamp item.
Skill 1 – Piercing Strike
Fredrinn thrusts his sword in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies hit and slowing them by a percentage for a few seconds. His next basic attack gains extra attack range and deals physical damage. This skill deals a large percentage damage to non-hero enemies.
- This is Fredrinn’s bread-and-butter skill. Max this first.
- Piercing Strike is also a great harassment skill in the laning phase. Last hit minions with this skill, and use the next enhanced basic attack on the enemy hero. The extra attack range means that you don’t necessarily have to get dangerously close to harass the enemy laner.
- Hitting this skill on enemy heroes gives one action point.
Skill 2 – Brave Assault
Fredrinn dashes in the target direction, dealing physical damage to the first non-minion enemy hit. His next basic attack knocks the target airborne for a few seconds.
- Brave Assault can also be used to jump over thin walls on the battlefield.
- Fredrinn stops whenever he bumps into an enemy hero. If you’re trying to escape, make sure no enemy hero is in your way.
- The knock-up effect of this skill also works on enemy minions and creeps.
- Make sure to use Brave Assault before Energy Eruption. The knock-up effect works best before taunting nearby enemies with Energy Eruption.
- Hitting this skill on enemy heroes gives one action point.
Skill 3 – Energy Eruption
Fredrinn deals physical damage to nearby enemies and taunts them for a second. Hitting a non-minion enemy grants Fredrinn physical and magic defense for a few seconds and reduces the cooldowns of Piercing Strike and Brave Assault by a percentage. This skill costs Combo Points.
- You can only get Energy Eruption at level four. Learning Appraiser’s Wrath automatically gives one point to Energy Eruption.
- Since this skill costs one action point, it cannot be used first in a team fight. You need to either use Piercing Strike or Brave Assault first before this becomes available.
- It’s important to set up the skill with Brave Assault first, as Energy Eruption has a small range.
- This skill also taunts minions and creeps.
- Position in backline before using Energy Eruption to surprise unsuspecting enemies in team fights. This skill works perfectly against squishy heroes, as Fredrinn’s full combo deals a considerable amount of damage.
Ultimate – Appraiser’s Wrath
Fredrinn slams his sword in the target direction, dealing damage plus a percentage of his Crystal Energy as physical damage to enemies in a fan-shaped area after a short delay. Enemies in the center of the area take bigger damage. Doubles the conversion ratio from Crystal Energy to damage dealt to enemy heroes.
- The more Crystal Energy he has, the bigger the damage of Appraiser’s Wrath.
- Enemies caught in the middle take more damage, make sure to aim it precisely to maximize your damage in team fights.
- Don’t use this skill if he has full health, as it will only deal base damage. It’s better to surprise enemies and use the ultimate when his health is less than half of his HP bar.
- This skill can also be used to secure objectives such as enemy jungle buffs, Turtle, and Lord. It’s similar to Balmond’s ultimate, which deals more damage the lower your HP.
- Casting the ultimate costs action points.

But if you assume the EXP laner role, Vengeance is the recommended battle spell.
It is mostly applicable if you are the only tank on the team. The percent damage reduction is useful, especially against marksman and assassin heroes.
Recommended emblem set
As a utility jungler, Fredrinn can benefit from the Support emblem which boosts Healing Effect and Movement Speed, while also providing Cooldown Reduction.
Get Inspire as your first-tier talent. Since you do not have the level of damage that assassin junglers have, Inspire gives you Cooldown Reduction that allows you to activate your skills more frequently and clear camps easily.
Seasoned Hunter is imperative for any tank jungler, so take that as your tier-two talent. The percent increase in damage to the Lord and Turtle makes you a threat when contesting objectives.
For your primary talent, choose Concussive Blast. It complements your tankiness by providing an AoE damage effect that scales with his max HP, triggered by Basic Attacks.

Fredrinn best build
To anchor your team in the front line, you need to elevate your tankiness to sustain and bully the enemy. Make sure to choose the Ice Retribution type on either Tough Boots or Warrior Boots, depending on the enemy team’s composition.
Thunder Belt is an ideal first item, as it provides additional True Damage and slows enemies after you use a skill, complementing your crowd control abilities while boosting your tankiness with added HP and mana.
Oracle comes next, amplifying your healing effects and shielding. This is crucial for sustaining longer fights and making the most out of your skillset that benefits from damage mitigation and HP regeneration.
Progressing to the mid-game, purchase Queen’s Wings. It further enhances your survivability by reducing damage taken when your health is low and increasing your lifesteal.
Get Immortality next. This adds a second chance in engagements with its resurrection passive, giving you the ability to re-enter fights after being taken down, which is invaluable in late-game team fights.
Lastly, buy Athena’s Shield or Radiant Armor depending on the type of Magic Damage from enemy heroes. These items provide significant magic resistance making you more resilient against burst magic damage.

Tips and easy combos to learn
Once you reach level four, start by using Brave Assault to close the gap, then follow with a Basic Attack to trigger the knock-up effect.
Next, use Energy Eruption, then Piercing Strike, and another Basic Attack to deal extra damage from the first skill. Use Brave Assault again to stun the enemy, and finish with Piercing Strike.
By now, you should have three action points. Only use Appraiser’s Wrath if your health is below a certain threshold or if the enemy is close to dying. Using it at full health won’t deal as much damage as when you have less than half your health.
If it’s not the right time to use your ultimate, keep repeating the combo of Brave Assault, Energy Eruption, and Piercing Strike.
Always aim to hit Energy Eruption, as it reduces the cooldown of your other skills. Missing it will slow you down.
